Rosmorport says to pay 52.5 bln rbl for 9 icebreakers until 2025

MOSCOW, Nov 26 (PRIME) -- Rosmorport, the operator of most Russian sea ports, will pay 52.5 billion rubles, including 33.1 billion rubles from the budget, for nine icebreakers until 2025, CEO Andrei Lavrishchev told reporters on Monday.

Lavrishchev said that the state funds will pay for five icebreakers, including two 18 megawatt (MW) Icebreaker7 vessels for operations in the Far East and in the Gulf of Finland, two supplementary 12–14 MW Icebreaker7 vessels and a 6–8 MW port ice breaker. Construction of all the vessels will be auctioned.

The company’s own 19.4 billion rubles will be allocated to four shallow icebreakers with a capacity of 6.4 MW which will be built by Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex.
